Between the Serra de Llevant mountains and the Mediterranean sits Conde de Suyrot. A young winery in a place where vines were growing long before it arrived.

The vineyards lie near Colònia de Sant Pere in northeast Mallorca, in a landscape where vines were once a familiar sight. Today, Conde de Suyrot is the only commercial winery in the immediate area, bringing professional winemaking back to this special corner of the island.

The winery was founded by Frenchman Fabrice Suyrot, who had been connected to Mallorca since childhood and previously owned a winery in Bergerac in southwest France. He brought his philosophy with him: healthy fruit, careful winemaking, minimal intervention and no unnecessary manipulation.

The location does the rest. Mountains behind, the Mediterranean directly ahead. The Moscatel vineyard sits just 50 metres from the sea.

In the vineyards, native grapes such as Manto Negro, Callet and Gorgollassa grow alongside Mediterranean and French-influenced varieties. The aim isn’t to recreate French wine in Mallorca. It’s to use experience and precision to let this particular place come through.

The winery itself follows the same thinking. Abandoned horse stables were transformed into the cellar, solar power provides the energy, and the estate continues its move towards organic certification.
