Marta Maté DO Ribera del Duero 2021 75cl
Marta Maté is a modern success story, producing outstanding wines in small batches with a minimalist approach. In a region with over 300 wineries, 85% of which rely on mechanical harvesting, Marta Maté decided to forge her own path. Her project is based on three core principles: prime location, biodiversity, and minimal intervention. Marta Maté embodies the allure of the Ribera del Duero—a deliciously complex wine. Its bouquet reveals blackberry and floral notes with subtle hints of fig and spice. The palate reveals a velvety texture with lively acidity and a lingering finish. The grapes were harvested by hand from vines over 100 years old in vineyards at an altitude of 930 meters. In the winery, only the finest grapes were selected and fermented with native yeasts in concrete tanks. The wine then matured for 14 months in French oak barrels and was subsequently blended in concrete tanks. Pairs well with: Versatile. Pairs well with meat, poultry, pizza, pasta, cheese, and cured meats.
