Cuvée No. 746 Champagne 75cl
JACQUESSON is something of a revolutionary producer in the world of Champagne. With a rich history spanning two centuries, the 700 Series was created in 2000 thanks to the visionary efforts of brothers Laurent and Jean Hervé Chiquet. They set out to produce the best possible wine each year. It's a non-vintage series, but with one peculiarity: the goal is not to produce an identical wine year after year, but rather the best and most expressive wine with the largest proportion of the vintage in the blend. The remainder is reserve wine from previous 700 blends. The series began in 2000 with the number 728, simply because this was the next administrative blend number assigned in the books. The numbering of the cuvées followed accordingly. Cuvée No. 746 is largely from the 2018 vintage and a special blend of grapes from five different Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. The grapes were harvested by hand and fermented spontaneously in oak barrels. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged on the fine lees with regular stirring. Dosage: Disgorge by hand. 2g/L. Pairing: Don't be shy. While Champagne is a great match for appetizers, it also pairs well with many other dishes. Serving: Serve well chilled.
