Young winemakers revive old Rioja vines
The Panorámico Wines winery, located in the picturesque upper Najerilla Valley in Rioja, is the result of the vision of Daniel Rodríguez and Alejandro Estebas. Their mission: to discover exceptional "majuelos" (small old vineyards) and produce distinctive wines from old vines.
Although Daniel comes from a distinguished Rioja family—his father was the visionary of Vinícola Real—he was determined to move away from conventional Rioja winemaking and instead pursue a daring and innovative path. Together with Alejandro, they not only defied tradition but also achieved extraordinary results.
On their small plots, spread across different altitudes, soils, and orientations, Daniel and Alejandro focus on highlighting the local terroir in their wines. They represent a new generation of winemakers, and Panorámico Wines beautifully encapsulates their core idea: transforming landscapes into exceptional wines.
The Panorámico range includes one rosé, two white wines, and two red wines, each with artistic labels. All grapes are hand-selected, and the winemaking is minimally intervention to showcase the fruit and the land. Because this is a special project, only limited quantities are produced from each vintage.
