The Barolo DOCG "Parussi" is an outstanding single-vineyard wine from Sobrero Francesco's cru vineyard, Parussi. Although it has many years of aging potential, it's hard to resist drinking it now. The wine has a bright ruby red color and reveals a delicate yet captivating bouquet with intense spices, delicate floral notes, and a hint of leather, blending with luscious red fruits. On the palate, it floats elegantly and harmoniously between fruit and grippy tannins, complemented by refreshing acidity and a slightly spicy finish. The Parussi vineyard is located in Castiglione Falletto at an altitude of 290 meters, facing southwest on sandy-calcareous soil. The grapes were harvested by hand from 20-year-old vines. In the winery, the grapes were fermented and macerated in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation took place in cement tanks, followed by aging for at least 24 months in 20 hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels. The wine was bottled without filtration.
