Château de Jau is a progressive family winery producing timeless southern French wines with a modern twist. OR-ANGE is their wonderful interpretation of a skin-contact orange wine. It offers a pleasant and approachable drinking experience and differs from other orange wines, which can have a hint of bitterness.
A delicate, floral bouquet on the nose, and a variety of fruit aromas on the palate, including white fruits, citrus, honey, and a hint of lychee. The finish is invigorating and fresh with a touch of firmness.
The grapes were harvested at perfect ripeness to achieve optimal fruit expression. The must (juice) of the grapes was left in contact with the skins, seeds, and stems for several days. The grapes were fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and then aged on the fine lees before bottling.
