Barbaresco Cavanna is a wine of exquisite quality and elegance, coming from Luigi Giordano's esteemed Cavanna cru vineyard. It's the kind of wine that invites you to buy a bottle for immediate enjoyment and another for later. In the glass, it presents a beautiful ruby red color and reveals a bouquet of cherries, strawberries, and raspberries, complemented by a delicate hint of violets and dried herbs. On the palate, it offers an elegant and vibrant interplay of fruit, acidity, and rounded tannins. The Cavanna vineyard in Barbaresco faces southwest, and the soil consists of layered marls mixed with silt. Located directly beneath the Barbaresco tower, the vineyard is the source of other renowned Barbaresco producers who grow their grapes there. The grapes were fermented at controlled temperatures in cement tanks, including 35-40 days on the skins. The wine was aged for at least 30 months in large 25HL barrels made of Slovenian oak, which are about 10 years old, and then bottled.
