Mócevò IGP Frusinate 2021 75cl
Mócevò ("now is the time" in the local dialect of Arcese) is an aromatic, dry red wine made from a blend of Lecinaro and Ulivello Nero grapes. The wine has a light ruby red color and unfolds intense notes of cherries, accompanied by hints of dried plums and a subtle dance of black pepper, chocolate, and vanilla. On the palate, it offers a generous and balanced experience characterized by soft, rounded tannins that lead to a long finish. The Mócevò plot is located in the vineyards of Arce, Lazio, on limestone and clay soils. The grapes were harvested by hand, selected, and brought to the winery for spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine was then aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels before bottling. This wine is neither fined nor filtered.
