La Côte, Switzerland

From Bordeaux to Bugnaux: The creation of Parcelle 168

New to the scene is Parcelle 168, a Swiss craft winery in Bugnaux, La Côte. Founded in 2021 by Frenchman Julien Latronche, it's as small and authentic as can be. Julien produces only a few thousand bottles per year.

He originally didn't intend to produce wine. During his time in Bordeaux, where he earned his Master's degree in Business Management, he embarked on a life-changing journey, living and working in the wine-growing regions of France, Italy, Spain, and the United States. It was during this journey that his passion for wine blossomed. After settling in Rolle, Vaud, he was inspired by great local winemakers and developed a passion for single-vineyard Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Chasselas.

We are fortunate to be able to offer his two white wines from different plots. The Sauvignon Blanc from Chamoson shines with vibrant citrus notes, complemented by subtle undertones of tropical fruit. The Chasselas, grown in Mont-sur-Rolle, eludes the usual profile of Swiss Chasselas and is characterized by restrained floral notes balanced by zesty citrus and stone fruit aromas.

Parcelle 168 is farmed biodynamically and harvested by hand. We look forward to adding Pinot Noir and Merlot to our offerings next year!
