Product description

1900 La Centenaire is a delicate wine made from centuries-old Carignan vines steeped in a beautiful history. The first planting of these Carignan vines dates back to 1900, coinciding with the wedding of Thérèse Hainaut and François Nadal—a significant moment that marks the founding of Château Nadal Hainaut. The 1900 La Centenaire has a beautiful garnet color and reveals an enticing bouquet of red stone fruits and herbs that unfolds into leather with a little aeration. On the palate, it is delicate, fine, and expressive with rounded tannins and a perfect balance of concentrated red and black fruits.

The organically farmed vineyard for the 1900 La Centenaire is located in Le Soler, on calcareous clay soil with river pebbles. The grapes were hand-harvested, carefully selected, and transferred directly to barrels for a three-week maceration. After fermentation, the macerated grapes were slowly pressed and subjected to malolactic fermentation before being aged for several months in barrels to round out the tannins. This wine was filtered before bottling. Aging potential: Drink now or age until 2027.
