Zi'tore IGP Frusinate 2021 75cl
Zi'tore is an aromatic and fruity dry red wine made from the Lecinaro grape. This wine has a light cherry color and exhibits intense notes of dried plums, wrapped in spices, tobacco leaves, and chocolate. It is medium-bodied and offers a refreshing palate experience, underscored by smooth tannins. Zi'tore, which means "Uncle Salvatore," is a heartfelt tribute to Marco's grandfather Salvatore and his faithful donkey companion. The Zi'tore plot is located in the vineyards of Arce, Lazio, on limestone and clay soils. The grapes were hand-harvested, selected, and brought to the winery for spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine was then aged for 10 months in used concrete tanks before bottling. This wine is neither fined nor filtered.
