Kπ Real 2022 75cl
Daniel Ramos is a prime example of the art of winemaking and creates exceptional wines from the high altitudes of the Sierra de Gredos mountain region.
This wine comes from his Kπ (Kapi) range - it is affectionately called "El Capitan" by his friends.
Kapi Real is a unique, balanced, and complex orange wine. It has a beautiful color and is produced in the traditional style using clay amphorae and—for even more character—a touch of flor. The grape variety is Albillo Real, which is found almost exclusively in the Sierra de Gredos.
The wine has a lemon-yellow color and a rich bouquet with notes of lemon, orange, honey, pastry, and jasmine, which continue on the palate. It is luscious, with a slightly mineral finish.
The vineyards are between 70 and 200 years old. The grapes were harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts in clay amphorae, with the wine remaining on the skins for 5 months. The wine was aged organically for 6 months to allow the flor to develop, giving the wine a rich, complex mouthfeel. This wine is unfiltered and unfiltered.
Goes well with:Soft and mild cheeses, sausages and rice dishes
Serving: Serve slightly chilled to allow the complex flavors to develop.
Aging potential: Drink young
