Imbris Etna Bianco Superiore DOC 2019 75cl
Imbris Superiore is an exquisite white wine from Etna, sourced from the eastern slopes of the volcano, where the sea breeze imparts a delightful saline note to the grapes. The wine has a straw-yellow color and seductive aromas of citrus fruits, subtle herbal notes, and a hint of honey. On the palate, these flavors come alive, supported by crisp acidity, leading to a nuanced, lingering mineral finish. The vineyard for Imbris Superiore is located at an altitude of 900 meters in Caselle, a cru parcel in the municipality of Milo, on the eastern slopes of Etna. This vineyard consists of sandy and volcanic soils rich in minerals. The grapes were harvested by hand, selected, and brought to the winery, where the whole bunches were softly pressed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, and the wine was aged for 18 months in steel tanks before bottling and aging for a further two years. Aging potential: Drink now or age until 2028.
