Giró del Gorner is a historic, family-run winery in Penedès, farming its vineyards organically and making wines exclusively from its own grapes.
Els Garrofers is a richer, more layered take on Xarel·lo, the local Catalan grape traditionally used in Cava. Fresh lemon and pear are balanced by notes of butter, toast and vanilla, giving the wine plenty of character without losing its freshness.
Fermented in oak barrels and aged on its lees, it develops extra texture, depth and complexity. Just 800 bottles were produced, making this a seriously small-production expression of Xarel·lo.
