Lange Freisa is a juicy and effortless red wine with excellent value for money. This wine has an intense ruby red color and reveals vibrant aromas of ripe dark cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and plums, subtly spiced with a hint of herbs. On the palate, the fruit is vibrant, underpinned by grippy tannins, culminating in a subtle, spicy finish. Freisa, a close relative of the Nebbiolo grape, offers a slightly fruitier flavor experience and is therefore an intriguing alternative to experiment with. Lange Freisa comes from a vineyard in the Barbaresco sub-zone, the "Valle dei Salici," meaning "Valley of the Willows." The grapes were harvested from 50-year-old vines. In the winery, the grapes were destemmed and fermented, remaining on the skins for 10-15 days without temperature control. Racking and malolactic fermentation then took place in stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged for one year in stainless steel tanks before bottling. Pairs well with: Very versatile.
