Keen for a different rosé? Then try Alnus Rosato, a dry rosé with a little volcanic tickle. This medium pink shade reveals a captivating bouquet of strawberries and raspberries, intertwined with delicate floral accents. The palate harmoniously combines fruity flavours with subtle hints of spice, all underscored by invigorating acidity for a delightful volcanic experience.
The organically farmed vineyard for Alnus Rosato is located at 650 metres altitude, in Contrada Muganazzi, on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. This vineyard comprises sandy and volcanic soils that are very rich in minerals. The grapes were hand harvested, selected and brought to the winery where whole clusters were soft-crushed. The old local technique called "pista e mutta" was used to separate the must from the skins after a very short maceration. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats, followed by aging for 4 months in stainless steel vats. The wine was then bottled and rested for 2 months.
