Located just 80 kilometers southwest of Madrid, you'll discover the Sierra de Gredos mountain range. This lesser known region has been quietly producing some of the most expressive and refined Garnacha (Grenache) wines, and at the forefront of this talented group of winemakers stands Daniel Ramos. 

Daniel was born in Australia and his parents relocated the family to Spain when he was child. His cultural blend is beautifully mirrored in his craft and adds a fascinating dimension to his wines.

In 2005, Daniel and his wife Pepi, started buying vineyards in the Cebreros region spanning altitudes from 600 to 1200 meters. His goal was to create a diverse range of wines that showcase distinct personalities reflecting local terroir, with minimal human intervention. 

Daniel produces exceptional high-altitude Garnacha wines from old vines, offering elegance and finesse akin to Burgundy. His wines are an enjoyable and educational adventure of the many expressions of Garnacha according to terroir, orientation and altitude. The full range is a variety paradise for Garnacha enthusiasts. 

El Berrakin is an easy drinking, fresh style from a variety of his vineyards. Wanted Sotillo is sourced from 45 year old vines with granitic sandy soils.  Each of the Zerberos wines, with a bit more tension, are sourced from different plots, of vines ranging from 65 to 100+ years. Both of these are from granitic sandy soils, with Stuck in da mud benefitting from some slate schist too.
