In the heart of Barolo, amid the rolling vineyards of Castiglione Falletto, lies Sobrero Francesco, one of the finest wineries of Piedmont. Led by Flavio Sobrero, Sobrero Francesco embodies refined elegance, yet what sets it apart, despite its prestigious reputation, is its remarkable approachability. 

Established in 1940 by Flavio's grandfather, the winery initially focused on grape cultivation. Over time, it evolved to winemaking and, now under Flavio's guidance, has progressed to organic certification and a perfect balance of modern and classic winemaking.

Of their 16 hectares, 13 are in Castiglione Falletto, where  four of their exceptional Barolo wines come from 6 Cru vineyards - Pernanno, Villero, Ornato, Piantà, Valentino and Amellea. The remaining vineyards, situated in Canelli, yield outstanding white varietals.

The Sobrero range is a blend of diversity and excellence. From everyday quality gems like Dolcetto and Barbera (one with oak and one without), to a Langhe Nebbiolo offering excellent value, there is a spectrum of enticing choices to suit every palate or moment.

Yet, the high profile stars of the show are the Barolos. Each one, with its nuanced flavours and distinct character, represents the essence of the vineyard it hails from. These exceptional wines are not only a delight for the palate but also age-worthy treats for later.  

Not to be forgotten are the whites, an easy drinking Moscato and Chardonnay, both of which never disappoint.
