Luigi Giordano is a pioneering family winery crafting timeless classics from the heart of Barbaresco, Piedmont.
Barbaresco is a wine of exquisite delight and elegance, hailing from Luigi Giordano's esteemed vineyard. It's the type of wine that beckons you to purchase one bottle for immediate enjoyment and another to savour in the future. It graces the glass with its beautiful ruby colour, revealing a bouquet of cherries, strawberries, and raspberries, complemented by a delicate sprinkling of violets and dried herbs. On the palate, it offers an elegant and lively interplay, balancing fruit, acidity, and rounded tannins.
The vineyard, in Barbaresco, has a southwest exposure and the soil is composed of laminated marls mixed with silt. The vineyard is located directly under the tower of Barbaresco and is the source of other renowned Barbaresco producers who grow their grapes there. The grapes were fermented under controlled temperature, including 35-40 days on their skin, in cement tanks. The wine was aged for at least 30 months in large 25HL Slovenian-oak barrels, approximately 10 years in age, then bottled
