Luigi Giordano is a pioneering family winery crafting timeless classics from the heart of Barbaresco, Piedmont.

Barbaresco Montestefano is an exceptional Nebbiolo wine, hailing from Luigi Giordano's esteemed Montestefano cru vineyard. (If you’re a Nebbiolo lover, Luigi Giordano is the only producer from Montestefano with southern exposure. Sip and savour, dear friends!) This wine enchants the eye with that classic Nebbiolo ruby shade, unveiling a bouquet that dances with red and black cherries, strawberries, subtle spices, hints of liquorice, and a touch of earthy intrigue.  On the palate, it presents a vibrant, well-structured profile adorned with refined tannins, concluding with a gracefully extended finish.

The Montestefano vineyard is the most historical vineyard in the appellation. It’s one of the premier vineyards for Nebbiolo da Barbaresco, where ideal soils and conditions converge to yield robust, well-structured wines. The vineyard faces south and the soil comprises Sant’Agata marls that are a bluish-gray, dense and deep, with active limestone.  The grapes were fermented under controlled temperature, including 25-30 days on their skin, in cement tanks. The wine was aged for at least 18 months in large 25-50HL Slovenian-oak barrels, approximately 25 years in age, then bottled
