Luigi Giordano is a pioneering family winery crafting timeless classics from the heart of Barbaresco, Piedmont.

Brut Nature Rosé is a fabulous creation from Matteo, the winemaker at Luigi Giordano, and we were lucky to secure a limited number of bottles.  This wine, born from his Oenology thesis, beautifully showcases the essence of the Nebbiolo grape through the Traditional Sparkling Method. It’s a gorgeous salmon shade that opens to an aromatic blend of raspberries, red berries, citrus fruits intermingling with hints of roses.  On the palate, it’s vibrantly fresh with fine bubbles and a slightly tannic finish.

The vineyard for Brut Nature is located in Barbaresco. The grapes were stored for 10 days at very cold temperatures and at 80% humidity to provoke gentle maceration. Following this, they were gentle pressed, avoiding any tannin extraction from skin contact. Two fermentations took place. After the first fermentation of the base wine, the wine remained in stainless steels tanks. When ready, the second fermentation took place in bottles using the ‘presa di spuma’ technique (addition of yeasts)
