Luigi Giordano is a pioneering family winery crafting timeless classics from the heart of Barbaresco, Piedmont.
Dolcetto D’alba is a luscious and effortless red wine representing outstanding value. This wine boasts an intense ruby purple shade, unveiling aromas of ripe and dark cherries with whispers of the forest. On the palate, it evolves to a full-bodied experience, graced by soft tannins.
Dolcetto D’alba is sourced from a vineyard in the sub-zone of Barbaresco, called ’Qualin’. The grapes were harvested from 50 year old vines. Once at the winery, the grapes were fermented and spent 7-8 days on their skins without temperature control. This was followed by racking and malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. The wine was aged for at least 4 months in cement tanks before bottling.
