In the heart of Pouilly Sur Loire stands Domaine de Bel Air, a family estate with a 1635 legacy, specialising in Pouilly Fumé wines. Today, the 13th-generation siblings, Cedric and Katia Mauroy, along with Katia's daughter Alexandra, continue the tradition.

What sets Domaine de Bel Air apart is their unassuming approach, quietly crafting exceptional wines and never tooting their own horn. Their genuine care and competence shine through in each bottle, making them truly rare finds. 

Pouilly Fumé, made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, can sometimes stand in Sancerre's shadow. While both share the same grape, nuanced differences emerge from location and soil. Sancerre tends toward a lean profile with citrus and grassy notes, while Pouilly Fumé offers a softer palate with hints of stone fruits and occasional smoky undertones.

Domaine de Bel Air presents three distinct Pouilly Fumés, each defined by its soil. Their flagship wine, Domaine de Bel Air, gracefully blends grapes from various plots and soils, delivering elegance and balance. Cuvee Riquette and Cuvee des Acoins, sourced from older vines and each from different types of clay limestone, offer more complexity and flavour intensity.

Completing the lineup is Pouilly Sur Loire, a delightful Chasselas. Lighter than Domaine de Bel Air, it presents a unique expression compared to a typical Swiss Chasselas, showcasing the estate's versatility.
