Set into the steep slopes and rugged terrain of Ribeira Sacra, stands Dominio do Bibei. This winery is situated on remote, sacred land that was originally occupied by monks, adding a certain spiritual vibe to the surrounding dramatic landscape. 

Established in 2002 and led by Javier Domínguez, Dominio do Bibei is one of those stories where a dream became a reality. A group of friends, originally from the area but having ventured afar, felt a pull back to their home origin.  Their goal was to revive the viticultural traditions of the region so they set out crafting wines that express the unique character of the Bibei Valley. 

Dominio do Bibei’s vineyards span 200 - 700 meters in altitude, enabling a great balance of freshness and acidity in their wines. They produce a range of white and red wines made from local grapes, such as the more commonly known Mencía, Godello and Albariño. But they also grow some lesser known native grapes, like Brancellao, Treixadura and Mouratón, which adds to the intrigue, calling for exploration of the outstanding Dominio do Bibei line up.
