Daniel Ramos exemplifies the artistry of winemaking, crafting exceptional expressions of high altitude Grenache wines from the mountainous region of Sierra de Gredos.
El Berrakin is a lovely ruby red and unveils an aromatic bouquet of pure fruit - red and darker cherries, raspberries, strawberries, a hint of plum and accompanied by a touch of floral and herbal notes. This extends to the palate, which is harmonised with high acidity and supple tannins, making it a very easy drinking red.
The grapes were hand harvested from various plots with vines over 60 years old. Once at the winery, the grapes from each different plot were destemmed, crushed and fermented separately using indigenous yeasts. After several months of maturation on fine lees, the wine underwent racking, blending, and malolactic conversion before being bottled.
