Laderas de Cabama embodies a distinctive, full-bodied Rioja red wine, crafted exclusively from 100% Tempranillo grapes sourced from younger vines. Its vibrant character exudes freshness and complexity. Plenty of cherry and plum on the nose, with a sprinkle of cedar, tobacco and chocolate. These aromas extend to the palate, accompanied by fresh acidity and gentle tannins.
The grapes were hand harvested from multiple different parcels within Rioja Alta, of low yielding vines on clay-limestone soil. Once at the winery, only the best grapes were selected and fermented in concrete vats, followed by 12 months aging in French oak. Following this, the wine was transferred to concrete vats for 11 months, enabling natural sedimentation and stabilisation. This wine is not fined, nor filtered.
