Château Nadal Hainaut

Languedoc Roussillon, France

The innovative sisters shaping tomorrow in Languedoc Roussillon

Located between the mountain and sea in Le Soler, Languedoc Roussillon, is Château Nadal Hainaut. Its roots trace back to a poignant moment in 1900 when the first Carignan vine was planted during the wedding of Thérèse Hainaut and François Nadal, marking the inception of Château Nadal Hainaut.

Long before Château Nadal Hainaut, the land served as the site of an ancient monastery, whose beautiful chapel still stands today.

While Jean Marie Nadal oversees the winery, his daughters Julie, Marie Luce, and Pauline drive its present and future with a spirit of experimentation, crafting sulfite-free wines and designing their own unique bottle labels.

There is a diverse range of reds: Odyssée, Terre de Quarante, and Signum are Syrah & Grenache blends, differed by composition and winemaking techniques. L’hyde du Lac is a sulfite-free variation of the blend.

1900 La Centenaire is 100% Carignan from old vines (those first plantings back at the wedding), an enchanting interplay of red and black fruit. Carignan Sauvage, produced in limited quantities, is a Carignan wine with no added sulfites.

To embark on a treat for your taste buds, explore the sweet wines. Ambré, a fortified Muscat, captivates with its complexity, featuring notes of candied and burnt orange, intertwined with toffee and pistachio. Rivesaltes Tuilé, offers a lighter Port-like experience, graced with overripe grapes and gingerbread flavours.

Organic certified, you can also visit the winery for tastings, weddings or a weekend stay. For more information, you can visit their website.
