New on the scene is Parcelle 168, a Swiss craft winery located in Bugnaux, La Côte. Established in 2021 by Frenchman Julien Latronche, this is as small scale and authentic as they come. Julien produces just a few thousand bottles each year.
His original plan wasn’t to make wine. It was during his time in Bordeaux, while pursuing his M.A. in Business Management, that he embarked on a transformative journey, living and working in the winemaking regions of France, Italy, Spain, and the USA. Amidst this journey, his passion for wine blossomed. After settling down in Rolle, Vaud, he found inspiration from great local winemakers and developed a passion for single vineyard Pinot Noir, Merlot and Chasselas.
We’re fortunate to offer his two white wines, sourced from different plots. The Sauvignon Blanc, from Chamoson, shines with vibrant citrus notes, complemented by subtle tropical fruit undertones. Meanwhile, the Chasselas, grown in Mont-sur-Rolle, defies the ordinary Swiss Chasselas profile, boasting restrained floral notes balanced with zesty citrus and stone fruit flavours.
Parcelle 168 practices Biodynamic farming and hand harvested. We look forward to also getting our hands on the Pinot Noir and Merlot next year!
