Sobrero Francesco epitomises refined elegance from the Piedmont region.
Barolo DOCG ‘Parussi’ is an outstanding single vineyard wine from Sobrero Francesco’s cru vineyard, Parussi. While it can gracefully age for years, it’s hard to resist drinking it now. This wine is a brilliant ruby shade, unveiling a delicate yet captivating bouquet of intense spices, delicate floral notes and sprinkles of leather entwined with luscious red fruits. On the palate, it elegantly floats, delivering fruit harmony with grippy tannins, complemented by refreshing acidity and a slightly savoury finish
The Parussi vineyard is located in Castiglione Falletto at 290 metres altitude, with southwest exposure, on sandy-calcareous soil. The grapes were hand harvested from vines aged 20 years old. Once at the winery, the grapes were fermented and macerated in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation in cement tanks took place followed by at least 24 months of aging in 20 hl Slavonian oak barrels. The wine was bottled without filtration.
