Las Pedreras is the rising star in Spain’s most up and coming Sierra de Gredos, a mountainous region west of Madrid. Barbara Requejo Frutos is the young and gifted winemaker behind this boutique project, artfully displaying her expertise through the creation of elegant, high altitude wines.

Pelito Lindo is an expression of terroir from Navahondilla, the small subregion within the village, Villanueva de Ávila, and located at 1000m altitude. This is a complex, elegant and deep wine that is constantly changing on the glass. It begins demurely, revealing blueberries and spices, then blossoms into the vineyard's wild herbs—thyme, lavender, and rockroses. The palate is well structured, with tannins in harmony with fruit and pepper notes, and high acidity for lasting freshness.

The grapes were hand harvested from different plots on pink granitic sandy soil. Each plot was separately vinified with different approaches. Some were vinified with full or partial whole bunch cluster while some were 100% destemmed. The wine was oak aged for 10 months and is unfiltered.
