Sobrero Francesco epitomises refined elegance from the Piedmont region.

Barolo Villero Riserva DOCG is an exceptional single vineyard wine from Sobrero Francesco’s cru vineyard, Villero. Crafted in limited quantities, this wine embodies elegance and promises to age gracefully over the years, yet it's equally one of those wines you yearn to savour and share with loved ones in the present. It’s a brilliant ruby shade, revealing an alluring bouquet of ripe red fruits, blended with hints of jam, leather and spices.  On the palate, it delivers freshness and harmony, embraced by grippy tannins, culminating in a lingering finish.

The Villero vineyard is located in Castiglione Falletto at 370 metres altitude, with southwest exposure, on clay soil. The grapes were hand harvested from vines aged 15 years old. Once at the winery, the grapes were fermented and macerated in temperature controlled wooden vats for 50 days. Malolactic fermentation in cement tanks took place followed by at least 36 months of aging in 15 hl Slovenian oak barrels. The wine was bottled without filtration.
