AT Roca Reserva shines with a pale yellow appearance, adorned with fine and persistent bubbles. Its clean aroma reveals notes of apple, pear, pastry and brioche, seamlessly transitioning to a creamy, fresh palate harmonising fruit, pastry and mineral undertones, concluding with a touch of salinity. It’s fresh, clean and elegant.
AT Roca Reserva is a blend of Macabeu (55%) and Xarel.lo (45%) grapes. The grapes were hand harvested from 20 organically farmed plots in the Costers d’Ordal sub-zone, on limestone, gravel and clay soils. This wine is made using the Traditional Method of sparkling i.e. the same process used in the Champagne region. It’s labour intensive because it requires 2 rounds of fermentation (one to make the wine, the other for the bubbles). Following the second fermentation, this wine gracefully matured in the bottle for 2-3 years, resting on its fine lees, imparting the delightful party and brioche flavours that distinguish it.
AT Roca crafts 3 different ranges of Cavas, all with zero dosing (Brut Nature), and varied by grapes, vineyard sourcing and aging times.
