Panorámico was born from a vision to discover extraordinary 'Majuelos' (tiny old vineyards) and craft distinctive wines from old vines. ‘Wine as a Landscape’ encapsulates the essence of this remarkable project.
Panorámico Caracuesta is a rich and complex wine crafted from 86 year old Grenache vines. Its beautiful ruby red shade leads to an intense bouquet red fruits, aniseed and herbal accents. The palate delights with refreshingly juicy and enduring flavours.
This vineyard, situated at the southernmost border of the DOC Rioja, graces the Iregua riverside and the Islallana foothills. Here, in the historic ‘Caracuesta’ plot, Grenache vines were planted in 1930, imparting a unique sense of place to this wine. The grapes were hand harvested, partially destemmed and spontaneously fermented for 17 days, remaining in the vat for 1 years. Following this, it was aged in French oak barrels before bottling.
