Panorámico was born from a vision to discover extraordinary 'Majuelos' (tiny old vineyards) and craft distinctive wines from old vines. ‘Wine as a Landscape’ encapsulates the essence of this remarkable project.
The Clarete Rosé is an exciting blend of white and red grapes (Viura and Grenache). It flaunts a light salmon colour and an intense bouquet of white flowers, citrus fruits and strawberries. The palate is elegantly complex, invigorated by refreshing acidity.
This is an interesting blend of Viura grapes (from 40 year old vines) and Grenache grapes (from 80 year old vines). The grapes were hand harvested from vineyards of different altitudes starting from 750 metres. Once at the winery, the grapes were pressed and spontaneously fermented in concrete eggs, with approximately 30% of the Grenache grapes being whole bunch fermented. Fermentation was at a very low temperature for 2 months, followed by 10 months aging on its fine lees (dead yeast cells). To enhance complexity and structure, a reserved portion of the oak-aged wine was added to the blend.
