Panorámico was born from a vision to discover extraordinary 'Majuelos' (tiny old vineyards) and craft distinctive wines from old vines. ‘Wine as a Landscape’ encapsulates the essence of this remarkable project.
Panorámico Tierroya is an outstanding white wine with fantastic complexity that continues to evolve. The wine reveals a complex, invigorating and intense nose of white fruit (pear, green apple) intertwined with stone fruits and a touch of spice and toasted oak. The palate echoes these fresh fruit notes, maintaining balance with enduring acidity for long-term aging potential.
As the old men in the area remember, the best vineyards in Islallana were located in the “Sorzano pago” where the most appreciated grapes could be found in the place of Tierroya. “Tierroya” is the local name the region’s inhabitants knew this area famous for its “red ground” typical of ferrous clay soils.
The grapes were hand harvested from 65+ year old vines and once at the winery, subjected to 24 hours maceration. Fermentation took place in oak barrels for 2 months, followed by 4 months of oak aging before bottling.
