Pells stands as outstanding low-intervention, skin contact orange wine. It unfolds a citrus fruit bouquet with subtle herbal notes, gracefully extending to a fresh palate heightened by vibrant acidity.
Pells is made from the Macabeu grape. The grapes were hand harvested from 55 year old vines in the biodynamic vineyard, Vinya de la Caseta . The grapes were macerated with their owns skins during fermentation with indigenous yeasts in clay amphoras. The wine was then aged for 9 months in old French oak barrels before being bottled. This wine has no added sulfites and is not fined, nor filtered.
