Outstanding. This stands as Damien's flagship Chenin Blanc, showcasing it at its very finest.This wine has a very expressive and complex bouquet. On the palate, you'll discover a harmonious blend of white peach, lemon, pear, and crisp apple, all culminating in a gracefully lingering honeyed finish. The grapes were sourced from vineyards with the famous tuffeau soil (chalky limestone), which has a reputation of producing the best Chenin Blanc. Fermentation was low and slow, with indigenous yeasts. An amount of fine lees stirring took place before bottling. This is a versatile wine that complements a wide range of cuisines, making it a dependable choice for any dinner party. It particularly shines when paired with seafood, poultry, or cheese. While it's absolutely delightful to enjoy immediately, it also has the potential to age gracefully for another 6-8 years. For the best experience, serve it nicely chilled.
